Dr. Huyen Dang is the Director of Pharmacy Operations and Compliance for Avant Pharmacy & Wellness Center. She initially started with Avant (previously known as Rx Clinic Pharmacy) as a student in 2014 during her introductory pharmacy rotation and then in 2015 for advanced pharmacy experience. As a student, she was involved with many ongoing, innovative projects that enhanced her clinical skills to reduce adverse drug events, improve patient safety and optimize patient care.
Huyen grew up in Gastonia, North Carolina. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Clinical Research from Campbell University and received her Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from South University School of Pharmacy in 2016. She is an active member of Kappa Psi Pharmaceutical Fraternity and the North Carolina Association of Pharmacists. She hopes to further positive clinical and economic outcomes for diverse populations through medication therapy management and improved medication use.
Outside of her passion for pharmacy, Huyen enjoys traveling, cooking, exploring new restaurants, hiking, and spending time with family and friends. Her favorite quote to live by is: “The only way to do great work is to love what you do” by Steve Jobs.
